What are Microwaves?

Microwaves are great for reheating leftover and for heating up a quick meal when you're on the go. What I find interesting is how a whole segment of the food industry is now focused on tailoring their products specifically for the microwave. You could eat every meal based on food products made for just the microwave oven. It certainly wouldn't be very healthy but it would be quick:) These days there are quite a few brands of microwave ovens out there and they're all pretty similar. Its not like there are premium microwaves anymore, and if there are you're either only paying for a brand or some fancy materials...

It speeds up the heating process for food so that we can either get more done with our time or relax a little more. These awesome little machines were first invented in the 1940's by an engineer named Percy Spencer. He was working on radars for a company named Raytheon when he noticed that a chocolate bar in his pocket was melting. He later discovered that it was from the microwaves emitted by the radar. After doing testing He was able to harness the power of microwaves in a box that would heat up food very quickly.
